Palin goes after Obama about his association with Ayers

This is what I’ve been waiting for, and the timing is great. I figured it would be 527 organizations first to open fire in the closing weeks of campaign season so it warms my heart to see Republicans finally getting tough.

Time has shown that conservatives get no quarter by pussy-footing around. They are aghast that McCain and Palin are actually exercising some scrutiny while Obama was running ads attacking McCain on his age and disabilities weeks ago.

Palin is making no apologies.

“And then there’s even more to the story,” Palin told voters in Clearwater, Fla. “Barack Obama says that Ayers was just someone in the neighborhood, but that’s less than truthful. His own advisers said they were quote certainly friendly. In fact Obama held one of his first meetings of his political career in Bill Ayers’ living room and they worked together on various projects in Chicago.”

Palin did not say the claim that Obama “pals around” with a terrorist, but did repeat a line she used over the weekend that Obama “sees America as imperfect enough to work with a domestic terrorist who had targeted his own country.”

Here’s a summary of the ways Obama is connected to Ayers:

  • Obama held a political meeting in Ayer’s home.
  • Obama and Ayers worked together on various projects.
  • Obama served on a charity board with Ayers.
  • Ayers hosted a fund raiser for Obama when Obama rand for state office in the ’90s.
  • Obama promoted Ayers book in 1997.
  • Obama and Ayers exchanged emails and phone calls as recently as 2005.

“Does Barack Obama truly expect the American people to believe that he had no idea about his friends past as the infamous founder of the domestic terror group The Weather Underground or is he just lying?” asked McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds.

Good question. Obama is dodging:

“I was a little surprised over the last couple of days to hear … Sen. McCain’s campaign say that we want to turn the page on discussions about the economy…”

It is no surprise at all Obama wants to stay off that page. He wants to milk this phenomena of gaining in poll numbers over the economic fiasco fallout when it was McCain who’s been warning us about it and Obama was in bed with the top figures who made it happen.

That’s another one McCain needs to hit hard. And the economic crisis does not make the question of Obama’s judgement and character and integrity any less important, in fact, it makes it more important. People need to know what kind of power hungry scammer they’re turning the keys over to.

Who can Obama be proud of?

I got to wondering today - does Obama have anyone in his orbit he doesn’t have to make excuses for, deny affiliation with, or demand is off limits? Is there anyone in this man’s life who has influenced him, taught him, advised him, or just been his friend, who Obama is comfortable putting in front [...]

I guess only Republicans buy elections

Thy hypocrisy is stifling. I’ve seen liberals post about what great strategy Obama employed in opting out. Talk about a short memory.

Write this stuff down folks. Put it in a file. Save it to your hard drive. Whatever. It’ll be fun pulling it out in four years after Obama and friends have put this country in the dirt, when America will be desperate to chuck money at and vote for anyone or anything that doesn’t have a “D” by their name.

Hawaii Health Care Handout Halted

2 hours of work a week will pay for children's health care
“These children also could sign up for the HMSA Children’s Plan, which costs about $55 a month.” $55 - that means dropping the premium cable channels, no more going to the theater (or no more popcorn when you do), no more fast food and dining out, two hours of work per week at a minimum wage job, or maybe it means no more smoking, alcohol, or drugs.

Would the fairness doctrine work both ways?

I want things to stay as they are where the market is controlled by consumers. But, if we have to go down that other road, politicians shouldn’t be allowed to hide behind those in the media who are sympathetic with them. Liberal dominated media organizations shouldn’t be allowed to hide behind a facade of neutrality.

Something tells me those who promote the Fairness Doctrine will not like my proposals. They like the idea of neutering those who are most effectively spreading the conservative message, but they most definately don’t want both sides given equal time across all formats. They don’t want half of thet New York Times written by conservatives. They don’t want half of the NBC Nightly News hosted and reported by conservatives.

Joe the plumber’s past matters but Obama’s doesn’t

Why this treatment? Because Joe’s message is powerful and they need to defang it. Joe is the face of what’s wrong with Obama’s economic policy proposals.

The fact this private citizen expressed himself while the media happened to be recording is enough mandate to go digging through this guy’s private life and present it to the world.
